Dr.Samaniego is originally from Freehold, New Jersey. As an Undergraduate student, his summer study abroad program in Zambia, Africa, in Public health care in the developing world greatly inspired him. It molded his core values on medicine and how he could significantly impact the community.

Presentations

Dr.Samaniego presented a research paper at the annual meeting of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons on using bone marrow aspirates to identify some pathogens through the PCR machine to reduce the rate of identifying organisms in osteomyelitis from over 72 to 96-hour period to less than 48 hour period. He believes in constantly updating himself on the latest developments in his field and is now focussing on minimally invasive surgery in Podiatry.

Philosophy

Dr. Samaniego’s philosophy is that “an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.” This is true, especially in Diabetic foot care.
